This policy explains what personal information Furniture8home ("we") collects when you use furniture8home.com, book a showroom visit or place an order, and how we use and protect it. It is written to follow India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect
- Order details: your name, mobile number, email (optional), delivery address and PIN code, the items you order, and any notes you add.
- Showroom visits: your name, mobile number, email (optional), and what you're looking for.
- Payments: online payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we only receive a payment confirmation and reference number.
- Technical information: our hosting providers keep standard request logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to prevent abuse.
Information stored on your device
The website remembers your cart, wishlist, language, light/dark preference, room size (for "Will it fit?") and checkout details on your own device using your browser's local storage, so you don't have to type them again. This stays on your device. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To confirm, make, deliver and support your order, and to arrange your showroom visit.
- To send you order confirmations, payment receipts, delivery updates and visit reminders by email, and to contact you by phone or WhatsApp about your order.
- To prevent fraud and misuse of the website.
We do not sell your personal information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the shop: Razorpay (online payments), Google (sending email through Gmail), Cloudflare and Vercel (website hosting and data storage), and our own delivery team. Each receives only what it needs. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for delivery, warranty, and accounting and tax law (generally up to 8 years). Visit bookings are kept for up to 12 months.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your personal information, or withdraw consent, by emailing Furniture8home@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. Some records must be kept to meet legal obligations.
Security
All connections to the website are encrypted (HTTPS). Customer data can only be accessed by authorised staff through a password-protected admin, and every admin login is recorded.
